Microsoft has confirmed that the Kinect v2 for Windows will begin shipping on July 15th, with the motion control system now available for pre-order.
The device is available in Microsoft's UK and U.S. online stores with a price of $199/£159.

Lets take our $40 device (I'm being really generous) which we marked up to $100 but was a flop and sell it on a different platform and mark it up to $200.

Cameras for video game systems are a fad that will soon die out when MS doesn't sell many of these.

I can't imagine too many games using this for pc. I think it will be mostly used for controlling your computer. Just think of the movie Minority Report.

Meh, I wish!..:) It's been long overdue for some kind of (additional) system for device use/control.. but, something that doesn't (just) *simulate* and is, instead, a true input device.
