Roku is now the undisputed king of streaming media set-top boxes.
From its humble beginnings just five years ago, Roku has seen its sales and market share grow significantly and the set-tops now account for about 46 percent of all set-top box sales in the U.S.
Additionally, Rokus have the greatest usage of set-top owners, even defeating the Apple TV.

I own two Rokus and they constantly update the device and channels, for the most part (after all in my case, it is older hardware.) It's super easy to use, and can also be tinkered with by techies. What's not to like?
Lousy interface, way too dumbed down and just not useful to me.
Terrible wifi ability too. We have many at my job and they're crap!
Too dumbed down? How difficult do you want it to be when using a remote?
Never had an issue with wireless or hard-wired connections with both of my Roku sets. Bought one for a family member who uses it just fine with an Android smartphone set as a hot spot. (Actually surprised how good that works too.)
