They sound interesting. But of curse they aren't available anywhere else.

Doubtful. Being based in China wouldn't stop Samsung or any of the other major manufacturers from suing over patents. It's probably a command decision to not mess with them since they only sell to their local market. If they were to start selling internationally I am sure someone would bring the hammer down on them.
