According to a leaked memo, it appears that T-Mobile will be cracking down on unlimited data users who are "abusing" the system and download torrents, warez and from P2P sites.

It's nothing new, Years ago when I worked for them we at one point had many people with unlimited plans in NY using the phones as walkie talkies staying connected in conference call all day (Typically Cab Drivers, they felt this was an abuse of service as well and permanently disconnected several accounts. ISP's are doing the same thing regardless if they say their not, VPN can hide the specifics but it wont hide the overall amount of traffic usage.
No big deal. I was with Sprint forever and their service was the worst ever. I tried Tmobile for a few days and it was great compared to Sprint. I don't go overboard, but I'll pay attention to see if I notice any slowdown when I DL.
WTF Don't call it unlimited if it's not unlimited. Why the hell they let these AH cell company's call it unlimited I don't know. There is no in between, it is either unlimited or IT'S NOT.
If you read the fine print (which I have) you have a specific amount of 4G/LTE data (depends on your cap, mine is 21 GB), then once you hit that limit, your speeds get reduced to 2G/EDGE speed with no limits. The 2G/EDGE speeds are painfully slow, reducing any net traffic you might want to do to a very slow crawl.
