In a shocking move, Apple has pulled their latest iOS update, as tens of thousands of downloaders were experiencing a wide range of issues.
iOS 8.0.1, which was released to help with some bugs in the original iOS 8 released last Wednesday, has been killing cell/data service and bricking the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, making the phone useless as a cellphone in many cases.

When I first upgraded to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5... I was having problems with slow wifi, no data over LTE, and just general app crashes that I had not been experiencing before. So I backed up my phone and did a complete restore... Then restored from my backup... Now I am having no problems.
But as far as upgrading to iOS 8.... If you are on the fence... Wait. If you plan on using any of the new features then you have to do it..... But if none of the new stuff is for you then just DONT upgrade.... It's not worth the headache yet.

Stupid idiots. You would think that they would heavily test any new updates before distributing it out to their customers. Just close Apple down, their boring now, just like their devices.

Yeah, fair enough and you're right i do have a distaste for Apple, but i just can't help but moan about them!! arrghhh!

As a former Apple user is sad to see a great company making those mistakes, i still own my I5 but i decided not to update after any IOS release for things like this, this is not cause Jobs is no here anymore is cause the lack of quality controls.

It's typical of the "want it now" generation. How often do we see software or games rushed to shipment, only to have multiple updates or patches to fix them?

Bottom line is it happens to everyone but it seems many people not using Apple devices have such a strong dislike for the brand they make everything seem like the end of the world for Apple.

It's not that anyone at all is unaware that these issues can afflict ANY manufacturer. Have you, however, EVER gotten a true-blue Apploid to admit this, except when attempting to excuse an Apple flub?

Totally agree. A certain level of testing should be done before a update is rolled out, but I realise it's impossible to test every combination or hardware and software out there.
But, some companies take the easy way out, do minimal testing, and effectively make their official release, act as a beta anyway!

Just make sure you don't sit down with the new phones in your pocket, and that to me is more of a problem than some faulty update.
Yes, but, iOS 8 isn't just for the new phones. And there are a lot more of the old phones out there that are going to be having trouble with the update. Who is stupid enough to sit on their expensive new phone anyways.... People who don't have respect for their equipment deserve for it to break. Like all the idiots running around with cracked screens because they aren't careful enough with them. Get a case, or is it "cooler" to have a broken phone??

Are you kidding me, guys don't carry pocket books, they have pockets, and they put their phones in their pockets many times, did I really need to explain that, I have a neighbor that already bent his, mainly why I commented on this forum, and he did one of those protectors so that throws that theory out the window.
