I was thinking of using DVD STRIPPER and I wanted to get some idea on how to use it. Could I use DVDSHRINK or do I have to start with DVD DECRYPTER? Also, what format does the files have to be in to use DVD STRIPPER.

DVDstripper launches DVD Decrypter automatically when processing. DVD stripper is basically an automated front end for IFOEdit. No IFOEdit experience is required. DVD Shrink can be used AFTER dvd stripper has "done it's thing", to compress the output, if required. DVD stripper only deletes unwanted "extras" from the original DVD master.

Note ! Dvd stripper does not remove unwanted audio tracks, this is where DVD Shrink comes in handy.

This process has been simplified with DVDremake, but stripper is free & remake isnt. So you pays yer money, and takes yer choice.

Can you delete parts of a movie, etc. within a VOB or whatever it is called? I mean such things within a movie that might be inappropriate for kids, etc.

You can remove things with Stripper, but they have to be complete cells. A cell is typically an entire chapter, but in some cases can be much smaller (although rarely as small as you're looking for). For the type of editing you're talking about DVD Shrink is a much better tool. You can cut out as little as a single GOP (typically 12 frames), but you have to use re-author to do it, so you won't get any menus that way.
