*** please excuse if these has been asked already ***

I'm using the giude to convert divx/xvid to dvd and I ran into some things that stomped me:

1. In Tmpgnc at the screen where you set Audio Bitrate its grayed out. What's up wit that?

2. Then when it says: "Adjust the Average video bitrate up and down until the value "XXX" states something between 95 and 97" I have never been able to get it adjusted to either 95, 96, or 97. What am I doing wrong?

3.Also, in the "VirtualDub: Joining AVI files guide" (witch seems so simple)my files are not being joined even after following the instructions.

Intel C2D E6600 OC to 3.01GHZ Average Load temp 77F *Lapped!*
Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS *SUPERCLOCKED* 720Mhz
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
G. SKILL DDR2 800 2GB HZ D9MGH
LG Super Multi external DVD read/writer
320 GB Seagate Barracuda, 36 GB WD Raptor
Ultra X-Pro 600W PSU

Have you tried installing and uninstalling the software? Try that. It that doesn't work, than there might be somethng wrong with your computer. More information on your computer is required.

What do you mean you haven't been able to adjust it to 95, 96 or 97 %? Why don't you try adjusting the video bitrate and see if the value changes for % of disk capacity. Just adjust the Video bitrate until that is set to something close to or between 96% - 97%!

The Virtual Dub program didn't work for me either. Why don't you try using the program called
'Movie Joiner'. It's a great program with a easy to use interface. Also the speed of joining the files is really fast.

I hope that helps :)!
