Well, yeah, I have a Chaos Legion DVD backup, it isnt listed on swapmagicfix.com so I tought it should work, but nope. I tried a total of 4 times, using my CD Loader, first I tried using Devil May Cry as a TOC refresh and doing boot, a normal and a special boot, but it didnt work, next I tried using Xenosaga instead, but again, it didnt work neither with normal or special boot.

I didnt use my SMDvd because it just doesnt work on my PS2.

Should I just consider there is an error with my backup and stop trying? Or will any of the other methods make any differences?

I tried CDLoader, but I just can get the TOC Refresh done. I eject the CDLoader at "Press X to play game" prompt, insert a DVD, and it identifies it as a DVD,but when I took it out using my slide tool (to insert my dvd backup) the DVD was still spinning, and the backup obviously didnt work.

I heard there's a DVD Loader, but is exactly the same software as CD Loader, just in DVD instead.

I haven't tried the Mem Exploit yet.

when you eject and insert your dvd toc disc you must wait for the bottom left of the screen to say "ps2 dvd", then just press x, wait untill you get the message "insert dvdr by ea method", then swap for your backup and press x.

Nope, doesnt work, when I do that, the screen turns red for a moment and I get a "Error validating disc" message (the disc inserted for TOC refreshing was Devil May Cry).

At any point, the on-screen message never changes, it keeps telling me "Change the Disc and Press X to play", never managed to get "Insert DVD via EA Method" screen =/

I tried with Devil May Cry, which is same size in TOC, and Xenosaga, which is the biggest TOC available so far, according to ps2ownz data base.

There are some other games with TOC size equal to Chaos Legion, but only 2 USA games with higher TOC (DVD9s), should I try one of those?

you can't use devil may cry as a toc disc with cd loader there is a conflict between the two also if i remember correctly if you use xenosaga as a toc disc it only uses the first layer not its full size

By CDLoader you mean the one available in SwapMagicFix, right? Then that explains it...
Thanks for the info =/

Actually I was gonna try that, I did the image and everything, but it wouldn't boot with my Swap Magic CD, I get the red stripe =/ I think my PS2 has screwed reading CD-Rs, because CDLoader doesnt work anymore either (and it USED to).

Oh well, guess Im stuck until I get a friend with a modded PS2 to come over to my house.

But thanks, anyway.

Mmmm, interesting, I got curious and tried to boot up another CD-R, a SNES Emulator, and it booted just fine, my other CD-Rs still wont boot tough, neither with a Normal or Special Boot, when I try to boot them, I can hear a loud sound like the CD is spinning really fast but then,it stops and I get the red stripe.

What could be the problem?

I have 2 Exploit Installation CDs, I built them according to the instructions on SwapMagicFix. I burnt one using an ISO and Nero and the other one using a BIN and Alcohol 120%, and all 3 CD-Rs (the 2 exploits and the SNES Station CD) were burnt on the same media.

Mmmm....
