Using a chemical called Chlorin e6 (Ce6), which has been used safely in cancer treatments and to cure night blindness, the drops gave the biohackers the ability to see in the dark for short periods of time. The chemical compound is extracted ... [ read the full article ]

Yeah man? You ever heard of eyeball tattooing? I'm serious!

They say it's a REAL commitment because there's no way of getting rid of it. Truly permanent.

Some try to have drawings tattooed, I dunno, looks kinda blotchy.

If humans were meant to see in the dark we'd already have native night vision,i wonder what long term effects are

Correction, if the human environment required us to see in the dark we would adapt to do so. Alas we do not, as both the sun and the reflection of the sun give off suitable amounts of light.

lets say that aliens, specifically the bi-pedal ones are real. lets also say that they live in deep space, their environment would require them to see in the dark. however of all the encounter vids I've seen I've yet to see one in which the alien is packing a pair of shades.

our pupil dilate and retract allowing us to see in both day light and night time, just looked like a gimic to allow pupils to go bigger to see better at night time (eyedrops have been around for years that can do that). The only different is these look more effective.I'm assuming injecting stuff into the eye wouldn't be any good and could have serious side effects.

Hey Dex, let's say the aliens are just tattooing their eyeballs for fun:

an eye tattoo would not control light levels, it simply makes you look like a weirdo. besides there are better ways to instill fear that don't involve self mutilation.

If you idiots had bothered to read the actual article, the 'alien eyes' are black scleral covers, which were to protect the eyes from damage from normal light levels prior to/during testing.

with and attitude like that you'll make AD buddies in no time. if you want to make net friends faster you should use harsher words like Stupid or Moron, or try stringing them together for maximum friendship making.

for example "if you stupid moronic idiots bothered to actually inform people with out the use directed insults, there might be a dramatic shift in people giving a flying fuck"

I don't need friends who are too stupid/lazy/ignorant to read a reference article (because the topic has been sensationalized and bent way out of proportion by AD and every other media outlet) before commenting on it.

They had to wear sunglasses in conjunction with the scleral covers. This was also in the reference article.
