I wouldn't think this would be a big deal. Just transfer pictures to an external source, update and move your data back after the update. It's not you have to delete your pictures or music permanently.

Am I the only one who does not want to leave it to them to choose which apps to delete. And I can just see all the problems that could arise when they are "trying" to reload those apps AND the data. I have trust issues.
