I have searched and searched and i had no luck on how to boot my backups using Gameshark 2 Version 4 (for PS2). Finally, I found a way on how to do it!!

1. Put Gameshark 2 Version 3/4 into tray
2. Close the tray
3. Push restart on your PS2
4. Wait until your Gameshark 2 Version 3/4 fully loads
5. Press "X" on "Start Game"
6. When the tray pops out, push it back in
7. The PS2 will try to read the disk, but since there is no disk inside the PS2, nothing will happen.
8. Use the swap method (flip top or slide card) to open the tray (or if you are using flip top, open the top) without the PS2 knkowing you did.
9. Put in your backup
10. Close the tray using the slide method(or close the top if you are using a flip top) without the PS2 knowing you did.
11. Press "X".
12. Play!!

Note: If the Gameshark 2 Version 3/4 says cannot load disk you might have one/some of the following problems:

1. You didn't use good media to burn the backup.
2. The backup disk is scratched up
3. You are not following the instructions correctly
4. You are not using the swap method correctly.
5. Your PS2 laser is damaged,wrecked, etc.
6. You are in a hurry and are not being patient to do this trick slowly and carefully.
