I followed the directions as seen here (http://www.maxconsole.com/?mode=comments&newsid=2387) verbatim. I have a flip-top and I can't get the CD to boot no matter what way I burn it. I try with swap magic and cdloader and it won't load. I used the PSX Alien Trilogy. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi, I am having the exact same problems. I am using the Gameshark2 Version 2 to boot my install cdr. It boots backup playstation 1 games just fine but I can't get it to boot the hd exploit for the life of me. I've burnt about 15 of these hd exploit cdr in multiple different ways trying all the different tutorials but it still won't work. It just hangs to a black screen after displaying the blue gameshark loading screen but nothing will load on my memory card. Nothing but frustration I tell you. I think I've memorized those tutorials now. The process seemed simple enough yet I can't get it to work. The only thing I can think of is that I might have a wrong BOOT.ELF version though I've tried about 3 different ones. I'm not sure the ones I've tried are for the USA playstation though. Again, I can boot backup playstation 1 games just fine with this gameshark2 version2. I have a Version 5 playstation 2 USA NTSC. I used Chrono Cross for to edit my title.db file. If anyone can help or offer suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
