Help!! PS2 Tray problem

I recently bought the Magic swap with slide, but the directions on using it was very confusing, as of result, my PS2 tray is now not working, it comes out half way, and then stops and then goes back in but not all the way, anything i can do to fix this, also will the flip top work, like if i can;t get the tray work anymore, will the flip top be a good assurance. Thanx!!
