I bought a new HP Pavillion laptop a few months back. Out of nowhere the disk drive stoppped reading CD-Rs. DVDs play, no problem. Even in Windows Eplorer it shows the drive as empty. What can I do?

Hi,

Will the drive read factory CD's?

If it won't and the computer is still under warranty I'd contact HP regarding the issue and ask for a replacement for your drive.
