Hello,
I have a V1 PS2, got it the first day, and I have tried DVD+R, which I have figured out dont work on V1 from forums, and I tried Imation DVD-R (purple bottom). Does any one have any specific brand that they use and is economical? Thanks a lot!

you can only get ritek online. if you must buy it at a local store, go with verbatim data life PLUS.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

Sadly...no I still cannot find a media that will work on my PS2. Only CDRs so far have worked. I havea question though. If I havea DVDr movie work on the PS2 will that type of DVDr work for a backup?

Hi,
I am just loading up the Gameshark and once it gets to the main menu I do the slide card and swap. Then when I put it in and lock it back then I start game witout codes. Then it just freezes and the dvd rom drive makes clicking noises. I used this method for the CDRs to boot.
