I used this method here(http://www.videohelp.com/divxtovcd.htm) to convert my divx or xvid .avi's to vcd, and the audio came out fine, but the video was choppy at times, and at other times, the screen just went black for 5-10 seconds, and I don't know what's wrong. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? thanks

ok

Hi buddy,
I read that guide & it looks OK.
You need to post in VCD/SVCD forum, maybe they can help you there.
This forum is for encoding DivX :-)
