Pebble surprises with new circular 'Pebble Time Round'

Pebble has surprised this week, introducing the Pebble Time Round with a circular display and a much thinner profile than previous devices.
In-line with other smartwatches, the smartwatch will begin at $249 (for leather strap model) or $299 for black or gold metal bands.

Whatever! Nothing like charging your f'ing watch every day if not every other day.
People don't treat watches like that.
Again, wearable tech is so lame and irrelevant that only the brutal socially-challenged techies/nerds will engage this crap. Yet, I have seen about 3 or 4 "smartwatches" in the past year/year 1/2 but NEVER EVER seen anyone actually use the thing, ever. I would be around them for an hour or so too.
Peeps can't go 15 minutes without lookin' at their devices. Again, wearable tech is for lo-sers!

I guess I'm a loser then. My phone is never strong enough to feel the buzz on vibrate mode, and I can't use the regular ring tone in most situations. Also, when you have your hands full with kids, or even with items while shopping, you can't always grab your phone... makes it convenient to look over and see if the wife is replying to get milk, or if it's your annoying buddy and can ignore the call. But yeah, it's unnecessary and serves no purpose...

Charging every day? Which one do YOU have, as my Pebble (which I can't even find now - maybe I threw it away) wouldn't last more than 5 hours max on a charge..lol! I was far more amused by the different animated watch faces I had on it than the rest of the "content"...until I got my new car and realized by wearing it that it interfered with the Honda Link hands-free access, so that's probably when I threw it across the room in disgust and it hasn't been seen since...maybe the dogs used it as a toy??? lol

That's odd. I have a refurb original Pebble and charge it maybe once every 5 days, if that. Doesn't interfere with my Chevy hands free either. Weird?
But yes, the biggest help is having something on your wrist that buzzes with a call or text so you don't have to dig your phone out. (I know, first world problems...)

Yeah, that IS very weird. I just chalked it up to poor design, when in fact maybe I just had a bad device... Hm...

I still think I'm going to send mine in. I get the screen tear issue when changing from certain lighting conditions (ie. going indoors to outdoors.) It eventually self-corrects, but still a headache.
I don't complain much, because I got mine for $30, which is a steal for this type of tech. I'm not sure I would've paid $100 for this original design, but I might for the new color. Much more than that for a device the requires a smartphone to operate, is illogical, IMO.
