I believe the Fire HD 7 was a ridiculous $35 on Black Friday. Fire TV and stick were "fire sales" as well.

Almost bought a Kindle Fire myself, but knew it would be a paperweight compared to my other tablets. (Owned a Fire in the past, decent device, but handicapped to Amazon services.)
