fliptop ps2 won't power on??

I have it in standby and it wont power on. It worked fine before the fliptop mod. My only theory is that I may have bent the reset/power ribbon too much??

If that is the case, can I fix this or replace it?

Also, if you think that this isn't the case, plz gimme some ideas cause this is not cool. Thanks.

oh and just to add, incase it's of use...

I had a no-solder mod in there already and it's a US v4 PS2...

no, does that affect things? I would think it doesn't being as how the fliptop is a purely "cosmetic" mod and only changes the way you insert a disc..

i was just asking if you removed it just incase you had happened to leave any of the connectors loose, but seeing as its still there then looks like you will have to take the top off and check that ribbon cable to the reset/eject buttons for damage, if it is damaged it is quite easy to replace

do you know one of the best places to buy one of the replacements?

And is it just a matter of "inserting" it into some slots like when I did the no-solder mod?
