DVD video burning software

I need recommendations for software that will take an already DVD-authored file now residing on hard disk and burn it.

At this point I have created an .avi file from Windows Movie Maker; used TMPGEnc to encode MPEG encode it for DVD; and used TMPGEnc Author DVD to author the file.

I'm making this post because the burner tool within TMPGEnc appears to be buggy: seven out of eight burns end in "Input buffer error". The good one is able to be read on my Panasonic RP82 DVD.

I've just downloaded MyDVD to see if it held the answer.Unfortunately it insists on re-encoding my MPEG files itself before the burn process. There is no way to only burn given an existing DVD vob file. (At least I don't see it.)

Are there tools which will work for me, or should I look at dumping TMPGEnc Author, and use another authoring/burning package?

Try Nero out. I've used it for many dvd's and never had a problem. I'd stick with TMPGEnc as it is supposed to be a very high quality encoder and hey, it's free.

Thanks for the recommendation. Based on another suggestion I downloaded DVD-lab earlier this afternoon, and I am now in the process of attempting to burn a DVD. Will post results.

I've got my answer: DVD-Lab. I successfully burned a DVD with a file that I created using TMPGEnc Author. The resulting DVD is readable by my Panasonic RP82. Life's good again.
