Samsung is in talks to acquire HiFi music streaming service Tidal

article published on 29 February, 2016

A few months ago, it was rumored that HiFi music streaming service Tidal and its majority owner Jay-Z were in talks with Samsung over a possible acquisition. It appears that those talks have restarted. "Samsung is re-engaging; they are working on something really big, and they're keeping it very quiet in case it leaks," said a source. Tidal, despite its star power, has struggled ... [ read the full article ]

Oh yeah.......jagoff kanye pimping his not-so-great music out to the only black-owned streaming service (at least black-owned is immediately apparent) is not surprising.

He's such a P.O.S.! Totally uninfluential! Even in the most popular scenarios involving him, he is still not influential in any way, shape or form!

Tidal was a flop from the moment that Jay-Z opened it up. I mean, Jay-Z's rap style, flow and voice are horrid so people flocking to this site simply because it's 'his' makes me laugh and remember that stupidity propagates itself brutally, especially in black communities.

Ba Bye Tidal. Samsung will scavenge and cannibalize your platform to the point it's no longer even somewhat recognizable.

OK, I'm not a huge Kanye (or Jay-Z) fan - I prefer a more "old school", harder hip-hop sound - but you DO realize that your subjective opinion regarding pop culture does not define others' tastes, correct?

Nor do I understand what you find upsetting about Tidal being black-owned. Are you under the impression that there are too many black/minority-owned businesses in the US..?

You may not have intended it to be the case, but your post comes across with a distinctly racial bias; the remark about black communities only seems to confirm this.

I don't doubt nor deny my seemingly racially bias (charged) opinion, and it is a bit BUT, your misunderstanding of my clear text words is sincerely depressing.

My opinion isn't subjective but rather objective in this case.

Not sure how and where in my comment it stated I was "upset at Tidal being black owned". I simply pointed out that Kanye pimps his music out to the only SEEMINGLY black-owned music service and NOT TO ANYONE ELSE. To no surprise.

Bozobub, much love for you but your interpretation of what I clearly wrote......and meant was wayyyyy off.

I only speak in truths. Whether you want to believe is up to you but burying your head won't help.
