G'day,

In the old days when I used to burn CD's I found that I had problems if I had both Nero & Easy CD Creator on the machine at the same time.

I have been using Nero 6 Ultra for some time & recently had a look at Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.

As soon as I installed Media Creator, Nero packed it's bags and refused to successfully burn a DVD. I uninstalled Media Creator and Nero wanted to play again.

I'm running XP Pro ..... any ideas as Media Creator has a number of functions Nero doesn't, but I still like Nero's simplicity.

Any help appreciated.

HI SPOON.

m8, get rid of roxio if u want to keep nero as well.
i haD easy creator 6 package on my pc and it wouldnt let nero run.
roxio will always hijack other copy/burning programs u got on ya pc, dont know why, but does with everyone i know.

windows explorer (cd copy) uses roxio as its default cd copy s/ware, and i think maybe any other roxio s/ware u put on ya machine will also become the default burning/copy program.

do yourself a favour, nero 6 ultra + express is way better than roxio, and i was a roxio fanatic b4 getting nero 6.

good luck, i might be wrong here, but i can only give u my opinion, and tell u what problems i had as well.

btw, i am a videographer and installed SONIC MyDVD as my new dv capture/dvd video burning program, and it also has a cd/dvd copy/burn program with it as well that self installs, and it actually hijacked nero on my pc and became the default dvd copy/burn s/ware. i had to uninstalled that particular piece dvd copy/burn software from SONIC MyDVD so i could get nero back.
some things just make u really p--sed off dont they ???
