Sony MC manager and HD Loader MC Exploit "I OWN HD LOADER"

Hello all i just got my Copy of HD Loader a few weeks ago. then i heard about the MC Loader Exploit. I assume it's not iligal since i own a valid copy of HD Loader. OK My question is i formatted my original 40GB HDD with Sony utility and installed the software. I then used a ISO dump utility to backup ISO to the 40GB HDD using a backup utility while the drive was plugged into my computer. It looked to copy fine, so i then put the drive back into the PS@ and booted HD Loader via MC and it seemed to work fine. I was wondering if anyone else had tried this and gotten it to work? And just how reliable it is.

sounds like a lot of work. hd loader lets you install games on the hd while its in the ps2.
