Virtual reality darling Oculus is preparing to start shipping the first consumer Oculus Rift headsets this month, and gamers will have a full portfolio of games to play when they receive it. if the graphics shown on the Teck Insider site are indicative as of what is to come from VR headsets we might as well go back to playing DOOM

Well........I would then be inclined to ask you for the URL and/or site that contains said "indicative" pictures.

THe only thing I found ragging on the VR graphics on Tech Insider is for the Samsung VR headset which surely has sub-par graphics compared to the big boys BUT.....this article is about a major release and not the cell phone VR crap.

The pictures from the Sony VR demo were very underwhelming...looked like a higher resolution version of a PS1 game. I don't think this is a hardware limitation issue so much as a rushed tech demo issue. That said, it looks like the launch titles on Oculus are less than you might hope for. There are about 10 games I'd like to see on Oculus and none are listed. The only thing interesting to me is Project CARS...and that is already 10 months old.
