Ok gang this is what I did. I just activated my Platinum v321 from a floppy disk. Whether it remembers how many activations I have left is anyones guess.I installed Platinum on my wife's computer that doesn't even have a rewrite drive. I did this to get to the license/password screen.I typed in my licenseID and password, I then chose activate from another computer. I followed the steps and ended up copying a small htm file to a formatted, blank floppy. Online, I doubled clicked this file and for some reason I got page cannot be displayed. I hit the refresh button and I got to customer service. It showed all my registration info and from there I was able to copy a small registration activation file to the same floppy. Now I got offline. Do not start the platinum program just yet. Open the A drive and double click the 10kb registration file. answer ok..then ok to the 2nd message. Customer Service has all the directions, print them out. Now start Platinum and it should activate. Now I went to my other computer and I uninstalled Platinum, xrescue, and platinum RF. I rebooted twice and reinstalled v321 and xrescue. Put floppy in,double clicked the 10kb file and it activated. I then installed RF 4.0.4.15 and opened that program and it worked. Like I said I have 6 activations now left but I won't know if the floppy remembers that. Time will tell. At least you can activate in case the online stuff is no more in the future.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

bigwop,

Your activations should have been set to 75 so if you used one, you should have 74. Also save more activations and just rename the files.

Flip,
Tried your link and it didn't work for me. Went to http://www.dvdxcopy.com/Docs/Platinum_Users_Guide.pdf

Some of the graphics wouldn't load but I could tell where to enter License/password. It said I'm down to 7 activations. Also I tried to download registration file again,"activate from another computer" to my hard drive this time and it wouldn't download. There are bottom dashes between Platinum _Users_Guide

Flip,
Evidentially they closed shop today around 4:00pm EST after increasing activations to 75. The new activation site now states 10 or less. Looks like the people that have 321's software are SOL. The new site states they will not activate, support any 321 product in the US, but you can call Canada and Europe/Asia for help. LOL

Ok update everybody. I just did a clean install. Installed both Platinum and GamesXCopy. Used the "activate on another computer" ... saved activation code to floppy. Was able to successfully activate both RF and GamesXCopy.
