hi guys, I was wondering. I borrowed a friend's swap magic cd/dvd to load both the cdloader and the cogswap fearing if one doesn't work the other one might. So the memory card exploit installation went find and everything was good to go. But the thing I notice was that even though cogswap and cdloader supposedly boot up anything, it doesn't.

I tried booting up guilty gear isuka with both cogswap and cdloader, both didn't work. So after a million and a half tries later, I tried using the sm dvd to boot it up to see if it would. Lo and behold, it did. It even boot up sf anniversary without a complaint. So anyone know what's the problem?

Hi,

First of all, to get the memory card exploit to work, you need to put in the ps1 game that you used in creating the CogSwap.

no no, I got both cogswap and cdloader to work. I'm just wondering why they wouldn't boot up something that swap magic can. Supposedly both would normally boot up games better than sm. Or so i've heard.

O thats because you need to put in an original PS2 DVD that has a Large-TOC(filesize). The original needs to be bigger than the backup you are putting in. Ex: Swap Resident Evil Outbreak (4.2 GB) for 007:Everything or Nothing DVDR(3.6 GB). The thing with swap magic is that the swap cds are alreay Large-TOC. For Cdloader and Cogswap, you need to find a game that you have that has a Large-TOC. Just put it in your computer DVD drive and see how big it is.

I used Xenosaga, is there any other higher TOC games than Xenosaga?

Xenosaga I believe is a dual layer game. That may or may not be good. I'm thinking that you'd want to avoid using a dual layer game as your base disc unless you are swapping to a dual layer game. So try another game being your base game.

Although Xenosaga is an 8+Gig game it's TOC is only 4.something as how the seconds layer is not included in the game's TOC. Devil May Cry is known to be a good TOC swap disc.
