article published on 22 May, 2016

According to the most recent StatCounter figures, Firefox has surpassed Internet Explorer/Edge in market share for the first time ever, although all three browsers still have nothing on Google's Chrome. For desktop web traffic, Firefox now has 15.6 percent share compared to Internet Explorer and Edge at a combined 15.5 percent. Chrome remains the big dog at 60.5 percent, with the rest ... [ read the full article ]

I'm dumbfounded by the fact that 60% use Chrome?? WTF is that?!

Chrome does suck and firefox is faster and much more compatible overall as well as more intuitive and friendly.

I use Waterfox.

***UPDATE***

Well, after reading a few articles about how Chrome seems to manage the memory leaks better than Firefox/Waterfox, I'm gonna swallow my pride and bite the bullet and give Chrome a fair chance once more. I'm not above being corrected. :) It'll be a strange adjustment.

***Another Update***

I found that Waterfox/firefox use about TWICE the RAM as does Chrome so I switched on home computers for now however, Chrome has numerous freezes and hangs at my work computer so I removed it.

Firefox's memory leaks are brutal! NO F'ING EXCUSE for a browser to consumer 410 Megs of my RAM for having one single page open.

Chrome used about 205-215 megs.

Chrome is just too minimalist for me. the difference between how Firefox and Chrome handle downloads is a good example. Small issue but enough to make me stick with Firefox.

Chrome just feels weird to me, but I have it installed in case I run across something that Firefox/Waterfox doesn't seem to handle well. And I still like the idea of using something that's not from a corporate behemoth w/ ulterior motives.

I'm talking only Facebook here now. IE had the pictures floating around the page so I switched to Firefox. It was my favorite until script error started appearing when using Facebook. Now I've switched to Chrome and for Facebook and it works perfectly. My bank even prefers I use Chrome. At work, Firefox is the worst. I guess Sophos and SonicWall mess it up. Looks like just lines, no formatting. IE works best for checking my web-based email and using Adblock plus. Chrome works best for other sites. I use whichever browser gives me the best experience for the site I'm on. Peace.
(BTW, I'm not a newbie. Currently work as IT Computer Desktop Support Technician with large convenience store chain.)

I hate them all. I hate Firefox least. As for Chrome, I cannot fathom it and I have no time for trying to.

Wasn't Firefox going to rescue us with it's own desktop OS?
