No Sound on PC but Sound When Burned to DVD

This problem happens about every other DVD that I back-up. I use either DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink to write to my PC. When I try to play the VOB file using PowerDVD off my hard drive I can't hear any sound. If I burn the files to a DVD-R/W I still get no sound on my PC, but if I take the DVD and put it in my stand-alone DVD player the sound works fine. Any ideas as to why my PC will not play the sound for these DVDs?

Different versions of PowerDVD have different audio features.

PowerDVD 5 Deluxe has the most audio features included.

If you have PowerDVD XP 4.0 or earlier many audio features are optional.
