Hi, im about to purchase a fliptop and swap magic for my version 5 ps2, and im just wondering if it will be compatible with either DVD-R or DVD+R media since i heard that older systems will not work well DVD+R media. I need to make sure before spending the $50. Thanks

v5 should play + and -r with no problems. just make sure you use good quality media like ritek.

Don't use DVD+R. It's bad for the laser from what I was told.
