Uber CEO Travis Kalanick has announced this week that the company has reached an incredible milestone: 2 billion rides. More impressively is the fact that the company hit 1 billion trips just seven months ago, six years after launching. McDonalds hit this long ago. Remember "Over a billion served" anyone??

Now, those signs are gone.


This is no milestone IMO. There are 7.1 billion on this planet so it's not an aww-inspiring figure.
