Is there a way to rip a dvd menu background video?

I am familiar with ripping entire dvd movies, but I was wondering if there is way to rip just a dvd intro video?

what I want to do is rip the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King dvd intro video with the Flaming "Lord of the Rings". It is just a few seconds long and I dont know how to rip just that part. I already decrepted it with dvd decrypter. First I tried to use nero recode to "remake" the movie with just that intro, but it just gives me an error message and refuses to do it. then I thought maybe Stoik would do it, but it says it cant convert either. Im at a lost. Can this be done or am I just wasting my time in trying to do this? thanks for any help

well. i would rip the film and re-encode the film into an mpeg-2 format that is not in VOB format. um then i would get a proggy that can split the film. um do a google search on that, www.google.com then just type in something like mpeg-2 splitter or something. that is not really something i have done in a while. But if i where you, i would just play around with it for a while. thats the best way to figure out what you want. im sry i cant be od much help to you.
