after a recent hdd died i cant load svcd into tmpgenc.... i have all the codecs ect but am still unable to get it working.....been like this for over a week now searching for answers but no luck

i downloaded ffdshow today as someone recomended but it still wont work so off i went into the properties of ffdshow and all i see at the side of mpeg1/mpeg2 is disabled and currently broken ??? does this mean the mpeg codecs are damaged ??? if so how can i fix them
