Hi, i've tried virtualdub and flask so far using divx 5 codec, both of which crash part way through the encoding process. says somthing about an access violation.
i've tried flask on both win98 and winxp and also tried running virtualdub in winxp safe mode.
sometimes it works but only if i encode a short clip.
it always crashes on a long process.
dvd2avi also crashes part way through producing a .wav file, but is strangly ok with ac3 files.

i'd be greatful for any help.
