Oculus has announced that the all-in price of Rift and Touch has been cut to $598 as it aims to lure more gamers to its VR system. The new $598 price point is down from $798 previously. VR is such a gimmick at this very moment in time. I so absolutely love it but man O man.........waiting for this is brutal.

If they don't bring the prices down, develop more GAMES for VR (which is what pretty much everyone wants) and make the hardware a bit less 'clunky', this technology will stagnate like it did back in the Nintendo "Power Glove" days.

Microsoft's Hololens is already a dead concept to the consumer. It's maintained non-existence to the average Joe for so long that all others have passed it up severely.......and that ain't sayin' much cause the others have changes that need to be made too for general audience appeal.

I just want the resolution to go up; I'd buy one if I could use it instead of a laptop screen when doing design work on the go. Unfortunately using it on the desktop gives you something like a 240P screen.
