.VOB to .MPG Language Setting

I used SmartRipper to rip a dvd to .VOB. Now I am trying to convert that to MPG using TMPGEnc. Whenever I do this, the mpg is in French! Although when I play the normal VOB,it is English. In TMPGEnc, at the top I select Option, Language, English, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
