No Solder Modchip beginner HELP PLEASE

I recently installed my no solder modchip for version 4 PS2's and i use the swap magic disks with it. However, when i went to boot up, i held the EJECT button until the light turned orange but the tray wouldnt open up and instead it made this screeching noise while the light was orange. If anyone could help me with this i would appreciate it. Thanks,

Sounds like the disc tray is simply caught on something. Open the unit again and check the tray for any obstructions and visually inspect all of the gears to verify that they are not obstructed in any way.

BTW: no-solder mods are notorious for blowing motherboard fuses on PS2's making them appear completely dead.

the tray still opens normally, why would it not open or be obstucted when i hold the eject button??
