Still a little excited about VR but seriously think that this technology is going to die out before it actually launches anything noteworthy.

Vive and Oculus = NOT NOTEWORTHY!

Personally, I think the future of this tech is a lot brighter than all of that. In time games will be in the backseat to the useful functions. Already we are seeing engineering, artistic, and medical uses for this technology in spite of the immaturity of what is currently on the market. Combine that with the fact that technology is making traditional office work obsolete and it seems pretty clear that VR-style headsets will be part of the last generation of human labor...because it is the only way that humans will be able to compete.
