How do you take the front cover on my V4 PS2?

CANNOT FIND PIN?
DON'T KNOW WHERE TO INSERT SLIDE CARD?

Slow down there. To remove the front cover, turn on your PS2, eject the tray, once it's out, use the switch on the back of the unit to turn it off. Now get a screw driver, look in the center of the tray on the underside, there is a screw. You need to remove this screw, so you can then pry the plastic cover piece off. Once it's removed, you need to just sorta feel around with the slide card till you understand where the pin is. Don't try to "look" for it with your eyes. You have to feel the resistance when moving the slide tool to really understand what to do.
I found the pin by feeling around.
When i use my homemade slide card and slide it to the right the tray doesn't open?
Do i have to pull it out?
Is it because my homemade slide card
or my disk drive or what am i doing wrong?
I am trying to use Breaker Pro to play my import PS1 Game.

do you slide the pin back to the left before pressing
