Gradius V and HD loader

I installed the japanese cd version of Gradius V and the game wotn boot. It gets stuck on "now loading' screen, whetther the actual CD works fine.

Do you know anything about this, is there any mode that I should enable / disable?!? Thank you for your wisdom,

Funny, I posted this in the CD Backup Forum. I have the same problem myself. Being that there are 3 modes each with 2 possible settings this creates 2^3 possibilities or a total of 8. I have tried all 8 possible combinations with no luck what so ever. As far as I can tell Gradius V (j) is not compatible.
