Hi, I seem to have a weird problem with my burned DVD's. I posted some topics on it at www.vcdhelp.com, but no one could help me, maybe someone here knows.

I downloaded some anime-dvd-rips, and converted them to DVD format to playback on my DVD player. The burned DVD plays fine on my computer, but when I play it back on my TV there is flickering by the top and bottom letterboxing (very slight but noticable). The flickering is only noticable when light colors meet the letterboxing, if the color of the image is dark blue, or black it's not noticable from a distance.

The source of my file is a 640x360 SVCD, framerate of 23.97, and image aspect ration of 16:9 in a 4:3 SVCD, encoded using xvid 4.0 codec. I used the following script to frame serve it to CCE SP 2.67 encoder.

Avisynth script:

AVISource("19.avi", False)
ConvertToYUY2()
LanczosResize(720,360)
AddBorders(0,60,0,60)

I used progressive settings for my source, and once the file was encoded I applied a 2:3 pulldown using pulldown.exe

pulldown.exe 19.m2v 19-pull.m2v prog_seq prog_frames [p]

I don't know what else I can do try and get rid of this flickering. I have tried using tmpgenc encoder, but I get the same problem. Any help is appreciated.
