Microsoft has announced today a new Surface Book 2, the second generation of the hybrid laptop. It is aimed solely at competing against the MacBook Pro, which Microsoft promises it will blow out of the water.
According to Microsoft's Panos Panay, the new Surface Book 2 offers double the performance compared to Apple's offering. What this exactly means is questionable but it definitely ... [ read the full article ]

Difference between any MS product and Apple is that Apple's hardware is vastly superior..........PERIOD!
A THOUSAND BUCKS increase for a measly inch and a half screen size increase??? I don't THINK so!
To add insult to injury, it's a fu*king Windows 10 machine. That in and of itself should knock this pricetag down to 1100 bucks. I mean, Windows 10 is a virus essentially, taking over your computer in just about every facet, breaking shit, causing other stuff to become incompatible and removing random settings and printers. Ugh!
If MS thinks the world will buy into this simply because they claim "Macbook Pro competitor", then I believe they should think again.
My career is getting discouraging knowing I have to support a Win10 environment for an indefinite period of time. It f*cks my end-user's PCs up all the time. This is just more MS crap. Sad, I used to love MS back in the glory of Win 7 days.

I don't agree, windows 10 is fantastic and never slows don't on my machines. However i still have windows 7 on my main machine but i'm just too lazy to make the switch. my problem with this machine is that the specs are amazing but like usual it will throttle like crazy when you really need the juice.
The day I pay $2500 or more for a computer will be the same day the world comes to an end. I'm quite happy with my quad core desktop and my little Lenovo laptop that I use remotely to run the desktop when I'm away. And I got both of them for a fraction of the cost of this Surface thingamabob.
It's bad enough that M$ has their greedy fingers in almost every facet of life, but I will not give up a month's worth (more, actually) of my retirement income for this "new and improved" money sucking black hole of technology.
