Google Fiber has been officially launched in Louisville, KY. Louisville becomes the tenth city to get search giant's super fast internet service. Google has been working on San Antonio, TX as well as Louisville for a while now. My price went up for Comcast cable internet only earlier this month when my teaser rate expired. Luckily, we also have Century link FIOS available, but at a pretty steep price. Anyway, I called Comcast and asked if they could extend my rate for another year. I didn't mention Century Link, because I'm sure Comcast already knows they have competition for my internet bucks. Comcast agreed to extend my rate for another year and even bumped up my speed a bit; now I'm actually getting more speed than my plan calls for - advertised speed is 150 down and 10 up, but I'm getting 225 down and 12~15 up.
