I can't watch an avi file and GSpot gives me an error

Well, okay. Let's try and explain this. :o) First of all: I have the required codecs installed. And the problem I have is that VLC for example stops the audio stream every second and the next it continues playing it. And what is even more annoying is that it doesn't show me ONE picture but will give me four. ^_^ That may be kinda cool for others but I just want to watch the movie once at a time. ^_^ WMP doesn't like my file either. It eventually gives me the right audio stream but the playback of the video stream passes off at least 300 times slower. And before I start telling you about all the players I have installed I will just continue with GSpot... ^_^

Allright, after desperately trying to play the file over and over again I once again considered GSPot. And since I'm not very familiar with this program I'd just like to send someone a screenshot of what it says. The problem appears in the lowest section of GSpot where it says "Proposed Codec Solutions an Tests". It's something about pins and I don't understand a word of this. So, is there anyone willing to take a look at this? I'd be pretty happy if I could finally watch the movie... ^_^

(By the way: As you might have noticed, English is not my mother tongue. So if you dion't understand any of my gibberish above don't bother to ask! ^_^)
