5.1 system coming out 1 speaker only. Audio out question.

I have an HTPC and can't get the audio right. It seems to all come out of one speaker. It used to go through all the speakers. I am coming out of the speaker jack and splitting to rca jacks and going into the tape/vcr in on the Home Theater receiver.

I have Realtek High Def listed as the sound device on the PC. It seems pretty straight forward to set it up, when I go through Control Panel and the sound icon. I am thinking there is something else set wrong, that I can't find or I need a different sound card.

Anyone have any advice?
