Hey guys, I'm sort of a newb to all this sound system stuff. Here's the deal, I've been using a wired Pioneer 1000W system for about 3 years, and I'm tired of having wire run from the front to back of the room.

I know I could put it under the carpet, but I'd rather not deal with it. I've been looking to get a "rear wireless" system, the only thing that's been turning me away is the receiver you get with them. Not enough inputs.

I need something that will let me have my Playstation 3, Cable box, and Nintendo Wii connected at the same time. My price range is $400 - $500.

I've been looking at this Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX589W, and I REALLY like it, but again, the receiver does not have enough inputs.

Please help me pick something out!

And I am looking for a low maintenance supermodel girlfriend.

No luck for the both of us I figure, your budget is too low (as is mine)

The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX.

That budget is a little low.
Wireless sounds like a good idea, but I've read about so many problems with them (at home theater forums), and I think they are more trouble than they are worth. It's just something else to go wrong.

Not enough inputs is the one big thing against HTIBs like that. You need to get an HTIB that gives you a real receiver with it, to get enough inputs. Onkyo and Yamaha makes some, but I don't think they are wireless. Amazon.com has a lot to choose from, and the best prices too. But I guess you know that already........ :o)

You can run the speaker wires under the toe moulding, or base moulding, along the walls, to hide it. You can run the wire under the house, and up through a tiny hole, to the speaker. Or behind the crown moulding, if you have it, to rear speakers mounted on the wall. There's several ways of hiding wires. Wired is definitely better than wireless, I think.
Good luck with whatever you do.
