So I've got a Visio 32" HDTV, and I have my PS3 plugged in through HDMI. Everything seemed to work great, but recently the picture sometimes wants to go out, then come back. And sometimes it won't even come back unless I wiggle the cable plugged into the TV? So, I'm just wondering could it be that the HDMI Cable is failing? I mean I got it off eBay, but it was a US Seller, but he probably got them shipped from China.

Also, if it's the cable that's failing, what cable brands do you guys use that you like?

Thanks!

Best thing to do is try connecting your PS3 to your TV via the composite cables that came with the PS3. If the problem no longer occurs, you've narrowed it down to an HDMI issue, either with the TV input or the cable itself.

Now, if you have another HDMI port on your TV, try it on another port, if the problem persists, it's most likely the cable. However, the "wiggling" makes me the think it's more the HDMI input on TV.

I get my cables from Monoprice.com. They are inexpensive and great quality. I usually go with the 24AWG 1.3a Category 2 CL2 Rated flat HDMI cable. Less than $10 and better than any HDMI cable you can get in the store.

So then the cables on monoprice are good quality? I checked the site, and I think it would be a whole lot nicer to have a flat cable.

Thanks for the help, I'm pretty sure it's this HDMI Cable, cause it will only do it occasionally; it's not like it does it a certain amount when it's on.

I would put Monoprices cables against Monster cables and day of the week.

Order from Monoprice and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. As far as the flat cables go, they are nice, the only drawback is the stiffness of the cables, b/c these are really thick, so just take that into consideration.

ehh, the only thing that I have through HDMI is my PS3, so I think I should be good! Well then, I guess I'll buy one when I get some $$$... Ya, that's how bad it is; I can't afford a $7 cable. Damn school, and no jobs :(

Hi,
Sorry, If I not in right thread.

I had LG HDTV,eurovox maxV 2008 (scart panel type) and YPbPr to HDMI Converter.
My problem is when I connect eurovox to HDMI converter (using Scart to RGB Cable)and connect HDMI converter to HDTV (using HDMI Cable) but there are "no signal" appear on TV.

Anyone know how to solve.

Thanks in-advance.
