HDMI to DVI query?

Hi all, i hope this is the correct place and im not breaking any rules.

Basically i want to have my pc running through my Samsung HDTV. Im told i should ude a HDMI to DVI cable. Im not sure if my TV accepts DVI though so im asking for some expert knowledge.

Im just wondering if anybody can tell me from that link? If i cant use DVI can anyone recommend the correct way please?

I don't see anything about a DVI input. Doesn't mean you can't try it and see. It does have a VGA input though.

If your PC is a desktop get a radeon hd4350 pci-e video card (cost 40.00). That card has the HDMI output so you can just use a hdmi cable to connect the pc to your lcd. With HDMI to HDMI you won't loose any quality. This way you get true 1080x1020 HD with 7.1 surround sound.

With a regular vga or dvi, you won't get the best quality especially on your large LCD. But if you just watch regular DVD's a vga to vga connection is possible, that's how I have my PC hooked up to my standard quality 27inch lcd.

Actually DVI will support full 1080p. It won't support sound though. My laptop is connected to my LCD with via DVI and has full 1080p resolution. The picture quality will be no different with DVI or HDMI
