Help buying son's first HDTV

My 16 year old gaming, movie watching son has saved $350 up and I told him we could pay the other half to get him his first HDTV.

He wants 40"-42" due to the size of his dresser, and the price of the tv's.

He said his buddy had a 120mhz and it was unreal but I am not up to snuff on all that.

The TV will be bought at Best Buy, due to our credit card there.

Here are the options we have so far, what are your thoughts?

Sony Bravia KDL 40EX400 (60mhz) $629.99

Samsung LN 40 C530F1F (60mhz) $674.99

Insignia NS-L42Q-10A (60mhz) $627.99

Insignia NS-L42X-10A (120mhz) $749.99

The first Sony & Samsung I listed also have a 120mhz model but they are $809.99 and a bit out of our price range.

I really want him happy because he will have this tv for a good while. I am not sure about Insignia but the reviews look good.

My son plays about 12 hours of games per week and watches at least 5 blu rays, so the picture quality is very important to him, sound not so much due to his surround sound.
