I?m after a bit of help and or advice with regards to my Toshiba 37XV635DB LCd TV.
I bought it back in November and after a week or two noticed an annoying rattle (it sounded like a loose wire vibrating on a speaker) coming from the back of the TV. Only when a certain tone/sound came through the speakers.
I rang Toshiba and they seemed to know of this problem and asked me to do a few different things to see if it stopped the noise.
I turned down the bass, turned of the bass boost and they said I should turn down the back light.
Did all these to no avail so they booked me an engineer to come and take a look at it for me.
By this time I had bought Forza 3 on my Xbox and boy did this sound awful when driving an Alfa at 80 mph in 3 gear (that was the exact tone the rattle was at).
I played this for the engineer and he immediately said that the TV needed some insulating in the back.
He came back a week later and put in this insulating and left.
I came home from work and immediately put forza on and got in the Alfa :o( it was exactly the same.
So I rang Toshiba again explained and they told me to contact Dixons for a ?credit uplift? (replacement TV)
This brings me to last Sunday when my New Toshiba 37XV635DB arrived.
Couldn?t wait to play forza (rattle free) but guess what..........
The rattle was still there.
So I am now wondering what to do? I love the TV and have had Toshibas problem free for years and years.
Obviously I?m going to have to ring Toshiba again but should I try and get a full refund although all the reviews for this TV were very good (the reason I went for it) or should I keep getting the engineer out until they finally resolve the horrible 80mph rattle.
If anyone else has this TV and has experienced this problem I would love to hear from you and see what you did.
Thank you for taking the time to read my novel sorry it was so long.
