I want to buy a new television. The main feature is that it must come with a internet connection or wifi connection that I can watch my shared media running off of my linux box.

I don't want to buy a television and find out that I cannot do this via linux.

I tried during some research, but I have no idea what the technology is called, and I keep getting things that setup xbox apple tv other spam television to computer gimmicks.

So if you stream directly to your tv from computer please let me know what television you have and what program you use thanks
